WESLEY J. HARNISH, MD
Dr. Harnish earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1984. He completed his residency in ophthalmology there in 1989. He has practiced in Westerville for over 20 years. Dr. Harnish is board-certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. He taught as a clinical associate professor at The Ohio State University until 1995. He serves as a preceptor for The Ohio State University College of Optometry and the Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Ann’s Hospital. Dr. Harnish specializes in Infrafocal Vision Correction, however he evaluates patients for all issues including cataract surgery and refractive correction. He also performs cosmetic eye surgery and surgical and laser procedures for glaucoma, diabetes, and retinal problems.
TATIANA HAMMOND, OD
Dr. Hammond is excited to have joined Eye Surgical & Medical Care in December 2009. She provides vision services for children and adults. These services range from comprehensive eye exams, glasses prescriptions, contact lens fittings, specialty contact lenses for hard-to-fit corneas, multifocal contact lenses, orthokeratology, complications with contact lenses, low vision, management of dry eye, diabetes, glaucoma, and other ocular diseases. She is also trained in the co-management of laser vision correction and cataract surgery. Dr. Hammond is committed to providing high-quality medical care, as well as recommending appropriate ophthalmic products to enhance her patients’ visual function. This includes task-specific glasses, contact lenses, and low vision devices. Dr. Hammond was born in Colombia and speaks fluent Spanish. She supports advanced optometric education through professional memberships in the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, and Central Ohio Optometric Association. She has provided free eye examinations in Ecuador with the Volunteers for Optometric Services to Humanity. Dr. Hammond and her husband have four young children. She enjoys chasing them around!
JACKIE PASKIET, MD
Eye Surgical is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Jackie Paskiet. Dr. Paskiet joined the Eye Surgical team in the spring of 2019. Dr. Paskiet grew up in a small town in Iowa and went on to earn her medical degree from The Ohio State University and is extremely passionate about pediatric eye care. Dr. Paskiet has always sought out eye care opportunities working where she could try to impact and influence families regarding importance of eyecare – starting young! Dr. Paskiet always joked that she’d love to have a whole day of infant eye exams , and last year she hosted her first ‘Infantsee Day.’ “ I love being a part of eye care for young children. I literally get to watch as their vision skills develop and vision performance improves over time. Setting kids up to achieve their best vision especially so they can excel in school is such a joy for me to be a part of!”, says Dr. Paskiet.
